There are plenty of different activities along Anna Maria Island during the day but when the island quiets down at night there are a couple key spots to enjoy – from north to south.
The City of Anna Maria
Most of the restaurants/bars in Anna Maria City close at either 9 or 10 pm, but there are two that stay open later than that.
Open until 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, Slim’s is a Philly style sports bar with fresh local fish, cheese steaks and more. With 11 TVs, it makes for a great place to catch a game, have a drink and some good food.
Island Ocean Star
A little on the fancier side, Ocean Star is a family-owned sushi house next to the Galati Yacht Marina with a bar and outdoor seating. They are open until 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and are a local favorite.
The City of Holmes Beach
Holmes Beach is located the middle of the island with a bit more to offer on night life and is a popular spot on weekends. Most restaurants close around 10 pm in Holmes Beach but there are multiple bars within a block of each other making it a go-to spot for a night out.
The Doctors Office
Closing the earliest of the bunch, at 11:45 pm, The Doctors Office is an up to date bar with craft cocktails, charcuterie and other light bites. Originally a medical doctor’s office, the fun twist on the bar will follow the tradition of making peoples lives easier, healthier, and happier.
The Freckled Fin
An absolute favorite in our community, is this beach themed Irish Pub with live music, great food and outdoor seating all located right next to us at Salty Mermaid Real Estate. Open until 2:00 am on Friday’s and Saturday’s, The Freckled Fin is an awesome spot to kick back and enjoy some time with friends.
D Coy Duck’s
Open until 2:30 am, the latest of the 3, is D Coy Duck’s. Fun bar games, live music and TV’s for sports fans but make sure to grab a bite to eat before heading in, because they only serve drinks.
The City of Bradenton Beach
The southernmost city of Anna Maria island is Bradenton Beach, and a very popular spot here is Bridge Street. The Historic Bridge Street is home to a pier, many bars/restaurants and shops that make it a great place to get out and walk around. Most places closing around 10 pm, two bars and one pizza place like to stay open later than that.
Island Time Bar & Grill
Always open until midnight, this outdoor bar with live music, cocktails, seafood and more is a chill spot to get some fresh air. Good food and a full bar make for a great stop on a night out.
Oma’s Pizza & Restaurant
Also open until midnight every night, Oma’s Pizza is an island favorite with hand tossed & sicilian pizzas, as well as an abundance of Italian dishes. Located right next to the beach and our Historic Bridge Street, Oma’s Pizza another great spot to stop for the evening.
The Bridge Tender Inn & Dockside Bar
Located on Bridge Street, right next to the water is this lively American Bar & Restaurant with occasional live music. The Bridge Tender Inn is open until 1:00 am on Friday’s and Saturdays, and midnight every other night.
The Kokonut Hut Bar & Grill
Being open until 1:00 am every night of the week, this Tropical Bar is a great spot on a night out. Good food and cocktails all with an unbeatable view, The Kokonut Hut is on the list to check out.
